Training, Rucking & Building a Stronger Body
I originally built this page to offer personal training and online coaching. That is no longer what I am focused on. These days, most of my fitness work is centered on rucking—and on building tools that make rucking easier to track, understand, and use for real-world fitness.
I lost roughly 90 pounds while retaining muscle and building strength. I did not stop at simply weighing less. The goal became being leaner, stronger, more capable, and able to carry that fitness into everyday life.

Why Rucking Became My Main Form of Training
Rucking is simple: walk while carrying weight. But that simplicity is exactly what makes it useful. It combines walking, load carriage, conditioning, and strength endurance without requiring a complicated workout or a gym full of equipment.
I ruck regularly with substantial weight and have tested the limits of it myself. In Rogue Fitness’s 2025 The Heavy challenge, I carried 105 pounds for one mile and finished 3rd worldwide. Most of my rucking is not a competition, though. It is simply a practical way to stay strong, conditioned, and active while getting outside.

I Built the Rucking App I Wanted to Use
One frustration kept coming up: watches and ordinary walking trackers do not know that you are carrying a pack. A weighted mile is not the same thing as an unloaded mile, yet most fitness apps treat them the same.
So I built my own Rucking Calorie Calculator and then turned it into a full rucking app. It can track a ruck live with GPS, account for pack weight, estimate rucking calories, and work with the health platforms already on your phone. The goal is straightforward: make rucking measurable without making it complicated.

Fitness Background & Certifications
I have trained for most of my life, with a background that includes strength training, tennis, soccer, track, football, and now rucking. I became certified because I wanted the formal education to go with the years of practical experience—not because I wanted to spend the rest of my life selling training sessions.

Start With a Walk. Add Weight.
You do not need to start with 50 pounds, and you definitely do not need to carry 105. Start where you are, use a sensible load, and build gradually. If rucking becomes part of your training, I built Rucking.pro and the Rucking app to give you the tools I wish I had when I started.
